Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer who is best recognized by the name of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she began her acting career on stage with Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions until she made it big on the national theatre space with Li'l Abner' in 1957. In the same year, she released Her first album of music, It's The time for Tina. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood playing Griselda Walden in God's Big Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The movie received wide acclaim and Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York during that time, becoming Lee Strasberg's teacher. She signed on with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her work in between Broadway TV and Hollywood and portrayed more serious role as opposed the image of the glamorous girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also appeared on the show as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the last couple of years she has also made her mark as a successful director in numerous well-known TV shows such as Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was just three and she continued to live there throughout in the adolescent years and childhood. Her home was in Vancouver after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
